I know how hard it can be to seek out help, but you’re in the right place, I am here with you. I have my own experience of being a client in counselling/psychotherapy so I understand how scary this can seem. I want to reassure you that these feelings are valid and it’s ok to feel the way you do. One step at a time. Finding the right counsellor is important, as I believe the therapeutic relationship is where the healing journey begins. It was in therapy that I first felt truly heard, understood and fully accepted for who I am, and this is what I strive to emulate for my clients. Let’s move forward together.
I create a safe and empathic space for my clients to share and explore themselves, their thoughts and feelings. I understand the need for different approaches for each client, as no one is the same. I am an integrative practitioner, which allows me the scope to provide an individual approach with specific tools and approaches that fit each client, their situation and their personality. I am trained in Psychodynamic, humanistic integrative, Transactional analysis, Person Centred and Cognitive behaviour therapy. My aim is to provide a supportive, non-judgemental safe space for my clients, collaborating together to help them make sense of their situation. To empower my clients to reflect and understand themselves in a deeper way. From this place, real change is possible.
I have many years of experience working within the field of yoga and mindfulness as a yoga teacher. I truly believe moving the body opens the mind and I practice yoga as often as I can, when I am not teaching it. I have been a mentor, training new yoga teachers and watching them flourish in the field. I provide an LGBTQ+ affirmative practice, but welcome clients from all backgrounds. I am a registered counsellor with the BACP and I hold an advanced diploma in humanistic integrative counselling having trained at CPPD counselling school in North London. I work in accordance with the BACP ethical framework as a BACP member.
